Biography

Izamar studied for a BA in Food Engineering and Biotechnology, she spent four years in the R&D  for functional foods and management of food production areas for the food industry. She pursued her interest in research and decided to study for a Master's in Plant Science at KAUST. Following her dreams to change the way we eat into a more sustainable way and diversifying our diet. She is now studying for her Ph.D. in genetics and plant breeding working on the project of neodomestication of a perennial-halophytic (salt-loving plant) grain crop.
