Laxman Adhikari is a Research Scientist at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), working in the Plant Science Program within the Plant Breeding and Genetics Lab. He earned his Ph.D. in Plant Breeding, Genetics, and Genomics from the University of Georgia (UGA), USA.

His research focuses on wheat genetics, genomics, and breeding, with a strong emphasis on integrating bioinformatics approaches to understand complex traits and improve crop performance. His research translates population genomics insights into modern breeding strategies for developing resilient, high-yielding wheat varieties.
