Biography

Rezwan earned a Ph.D. degree in Crop Genetics and Breeding from Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China. As a postdoctoral fellow at KAUST, Rezwan focuses on neo-domestication and genome biology of dragon fruit with an aim to empower the globe with food and nutritional sustainability. Rezwan is interested in dragon fruit genome assembly, gene annotation, and structural variations. Working on dragon fruit genome biology, Rezwan is currently targeting the existing natural variations among different dragon fruit accessions using the whole-genome sequencing (WGS) approach. These variations ultimately tag the accessions, a valuable resource for our breeding program.
